Hello!!!!!!!  from beautiful Santiago!!!

I just wanted to write and let you all know that we made it!!  Just over 800 km´s and we are now here, vistied the Cathedral for the pilgrims´mass, blessing and to see the tomb of santiago (saint james), apparently I am now going to heaven and was able to ask santiago one question, anything I wanted...what a great and memorable way to end this journey of a lifetime!!    Now we are enjoying the sites, taking care of our hungry stomachs and aching feet!!  My friend Nicky from Germany was here to greet me outside of the pilgrims office after getting the compestela, official document that I have walked el camino!!  What a treat, emotional entrance and a wonderful way to start a new camino, the rest of my life!!

Tomorrow we are heading to the west cost of spain and will spend some time soaking achy feet in salty water!!  I will talk to you all in about a week!!!

Lots of love from Spain

Saturday May 29, Audrey met up with Tania and Allie and they went to the evening Pilgrims Mass.  A special ceremony was held where a giant incense ball was swung from one side of the cathedral to the other during the mass.  This apparently doesn't happen very often.

On Sunday May 30, Allie left to Finnestere (known as the End of the World) to collect shells.  Tania and Nicky went to the beach to O' Grove, also to collect shells.

Monday night Tania and Nicky travel back to Santiago.

Tania took a flight from Santiago to Bilbao and later in the afternoon, a flight to England for the final flight home !!!
