About Tania

Tania decided
to study Nutrition in 1999, after years of being chronically sick as a result of
digestive issues. Tania experienced anxiety and low energy, and stopped
exercising. After several visits to various Doctors she was diagnosed with IBS.
Tania was given prescription medications, which she never did take and has been
symptom free for the last ten years.
Tania started
researching complementary therapies, the role of wholefoods in the diet and
exercise. She started to walk and then run, used natural remedies, revamped her
diet, lost weight, removing allergens and processed foods. Tania sought personal
counseling and began down a path that allowed her to work through the disorder
in her life. Slowly she began to bounce back. She was no longer getting sick
many times during the year and missing work. With increased energy Tania began
to run longer, started Yoga and reconnected friends and family, she continued to
experiment with new foods and overall felt like a new person.
It was then
that Tania decided to change careers as a Law Clerk and found a career that
allowed her flexibility in her lifestyle to start studies in Natural Nutrition,
keep in contact with friends and family, exercise and travel. In the past few
years Tania has a renewed confidence from completing her studies as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist through
The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, along with continued diet and
lifestyle changes.
Tania
received her designation as a Registered
Nutritional Consultant Practitioner through the International
Organization of Nutritional Consultants (IONC) and operates her private
nutrition & wellness practices in Cambridge and Waterloo, ON where she sees
clients on a daily basis and does workshops and lectures on nutrition and
well-being. Further, Tania has completed the Post-Partum Doula certification
workshop and Jack Newman's 24-hour breastfeeding course. She offers peer support
to her breastfeeding clients. Her first published article "Anatomy of my Spirit" was featured in the
March 2007 edition of Canada's alive magazine and she writes for many
other publications which can be found here: (insert link of

Tania's
lifestyle has changed greatly as she has taken control over her own health, most
notably reversing her IBS and living completely symptom free! Through these
experiences she realizes the importance of educating others with all she has
learned. With a renewed sense of self Tania has participated in Adventure Races,
has run a half-marathon and full-marathon, and in the spring of 2004 completed a
Pilgrimage, El Camino de
Santiago, in northern Spain, walking over 800 km's in 32 days. This
Pilgrimage enhanced her sense of well-being and served as a strong reminder of
her passion to continue educating others about the benefits of living well and
fully. Upon her return from Spain, she and her husband started their family and
were blessed to have had two energetic and healthy pregnancies that resulted in
two very healthy children, both delivered safely at home with the caring
support of Cambridge Midwives in 2005 and 2009.
Tania's family,
friends and peers are all inspirations and have helped along her own Camino.
Tania
looks forward to sharing her passion and love of natural nutrition and wellness
with you!
